Grays Harbor College Chokers
Brandon and Charlie, two of Washington's biggest Chokers...
Grays Harbor College has one of the best nicknames and one of the most unfortunate nicknames in all of college athletics at the same time. How could that be possible? Well, they are nicknamed the Chokers, a name that pays homage to the area's intense link to the logging industry and elicits giggles from schoolgirls and meatheads just like me.
The Chokers don't really have a proper logo, but their mascot Charlie Choker greets you when you enter the campus. It's a pretty impressive chainsaw carving made out of a single cedar log and one of the few cool things to see if you ever find yourself in Aberdeen, Washington. Or you can just giggle like a pubescent boy at the word Choker and leave it at that.
